Greetings,
The media rarely print these stories, to wit:
A young, recently widowed woman, mother of an infant, was home alone in an isolated area of Oklahoma. Two thugs, one of whom had been harassing her, tried to break into the house. She hid the child, called 911 and knew it would take some time before the police would get there. They broke into the house. She had a rifle and defended herself. She killed one of them and wounded the other. They thought there would be pain medications because of her recently deceased husband.
Enough said.

Michelle adieu
Well another candidate bit the dust. Ms. Bachman left the race. She had some good points like they all do, including Ron Paul. She lost me a few months ago when she was interviewed by Bill O'Reilly. He could not get a straight answer out of her about Social Security and Medicare. First he said it was not an entitlement since people have paid into it. She replied that the problem has to be studied. O'Reilly remarked how much more studying has to be done? This problem has been studied and studied. What is her solution. Still no straight answer. As for Medicare, same beating around the bush. Her husband runs a Medicaid clinic. Hypocritical to now say they do not want Medicaid continued. Shall we run sick people without insurance and the means to pay for health care out into the woods to freeze to death. America, archeological digs have found evidence that the sick were cared for. But then, those early men did not have politics. You know, a bunch of special interests pay off both parties to implement their agendas and screw the rest of us.
May the wisdom of Solomon guide us this election season.

THE SAINTLY SANTORUM
Looks like the Saintly One does not mind using gutter language. He referred to Ron Paul as disgusting. Ron Paul is a constitutionalist. Santurum voted twice in favor of the Patriot Act which further erodes our civil rights with suspension of Habeaus Corpus, Warrantless searches and seizures, etc. Santorum also voted in favor of No Child Left Behind and the Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage. The drug coverage was passed behind closed doors and without the provision to negotiate drug prices. It was a big boon for the pharmaceutical industry.Santorum is a RINO, Republican in Name only. Dr.Paul was an obstretrician(?) who did not charge women who could not afford to have their babies delivered. That is part of Christian values. Santorum talks the good talk but I wonder how much he was paid by the Israel Lobby to refer to Dr. Paul as "digusting". Dr. Paul is against all these foreign bases and the wasting of our nation's treasure and lives by setting up "democracies" all over the world. In the real world, democracy in the Middle East means murdering Christians and burning down their churches. He might be naive about Iran, note I said might be naive. Do you really think Iran would do something really stupid with our warships in the area. They know we could obliberate them immediately. Israel also has the means to destroy them. Really disappointed in Israel when nuclear fuel was delivered to Iran and they did not sink the ships. Would not be surprised to learn that our State Dept. might have stepped in to order them not to.

IOWA CAUCUS
Greetings,
The good people of Iowa will be having their caucus this evening. Most are in favor of less government. Does that mean that the farmers will not accept government subsidies for corn and soybean? 19% of farmers were not receiving subsidies but the rest are. Just wondering.
My God all those white people.

CLASSIC ROMAN MARINARA SAUCE RECIPE
I will not rant and rave today. This is a simple marinara sauce from the Rome area.
Slice up 2 or three slices of Italian Pancetta in a sauce pan containing some olive oil.
Chop up one medium onion and add to pan with pancetta and cook over medium flame.
When onion starts to get golden, you can add in one stalk of celery, finely chopped but this is optional.
Continue with 2 or three cloves of garlic, finely chopped. Do not burn the garlic. After this is
simmering for a few minutes, add in one 28 oz. can of crushed tomatoes and a quarter teaspoon of sugar. If you want a really red sauce, add in one tablespoon of tomatoe paste. Continuing simmering partially covered for about 15 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add some chopped up Italian parsley and some fresh basil if you have it. If not, a sprinkle of oregano will not hurt. Do this last. Test for salt, grind in some pepper. Take off cover and simmer slowly for about 5 mintes. Finished. The traditional Roman sauce also calls for a sprinkle of hot pepper. This too is optional.
This sauce can be used for chicken parmigiana, foccaccia, pasta, rice, etc. etc. Use your imagination.
You can add a tablespoon of olive oil when finished cooking. ENJOY

IOWA CAUCUS
Greetings,
The good people of Iowa are having the Republican Caucus. This when a group of politicians gather round to garnish enough votes so that they can then carve up America. Amazing how people believe in these hyenas, left and right. The amount of money both parties get from the lobbies is taggering. The elected officials then pass legislation that favors these corporations, unions and other special interest groups. PJ O'Rourke rightly labeled them A Parliament of Whores.
Best wishes

Inaugural Scold
Greetings World,
I love to rant on everything and give comments on what is right and what is wrong with the world. Hope I do not offend too many of my adoring fans. I am also modest.
Best wishes and Happy New Year
